With a break of 70 to win the first frame, O’Sullivan got the night off to the best start and pounced upon blunder from Saengkham to make it 2-0. From that point on, Saengkham gained control of the situation, as he gained a 3-2 advantage with breaks of 68 & 96. Immediately, his fantastic long-range pink in the sixth frame saw him cross the finish line with a 4-2 victory and qualify for the quarterfinal. where he will face-off against Mark Williams. Williams beat Ding Junhui 4-0 to advance to a match with Saengkham, continuing his impressive run of play.
Shaun Murphy defeated Ali Carter 4-0 on day three of the Duelbits World Grand Prix in Cheltenham to qualify for quarterfinal. Meanwhile, Jack Lisowski maintained his superb form and managed to defeat Zhou Yuelong by score of 4-2.
