Anderson, who has more victories at Alexandra Palace than any other player, finished the first set with a 105 average after completing legs of 12, 15, & 13. Despite winning second-set to restore parity and getting golden chance to grab the 2-1 lead, Razma lost his chance after a disappointing finish in third-set. This miss by Razma provided Anderson the chance he needed, and the two-time world champion took complete advantage of it to score combinations of 121 & 110 before winning 3-1. Meanwhile, Wade became the biggest name to quit this year’s World Championship after a dramatic deciding-set loss to Jim Williams.

In another match, Germany’s Florian Hempel was edged out by fifth seed Humphries after a five-set battle. Following his win, Humphries has qualified for third-round and will now face Vincent van der Voort, who defeated Menzies in straight-set by averaging over 105. Elsewhere, Van Duijvenbode defeated Karel Sedlacek in a thrilling five-set match earlier in the day to win the first tie-break of this year’s event. Ryan Searle easily advanced to a third-round matchup against Jose de Sousa after displaying excellent finishing to defeat the young Czech player Adam Gawlas in straight sets.

On Friday, the second-round matches at 2022-23 Cazoo World Darts Championship will come to an end with stars like Rob Cross, Jonny Clayton, Danny Noppert, & Joe Cullen in action. To watch this star-studded event in-person including Friday’s matches, tickets can be purchased by the fans from here.
