More than 120 countries compete in combat sports and martial arts over the course of eleven days of the multi-sport event. The upcoming staging will bring an end to a 10-year break that has elapsed since the second edition, which was hosted in Beijing three years prior in 2013 in St Petersburg.
There will be an opening ceremony on October 19. A young martial artist’s inner journey under the guidance, leadership, and instruction of a grand master is the event’s central focus.
Between competitions, viewers may take in the atmosphere in the Cultural Pavilion and Square and try their hand at some of the other disciplines in the exhibition zone. There will also be contestants and trainers from the International Federations.

When and where will the World Combat Games 2023 begin?
The multi-sport tournament is slated to take place in the capital of Saudi Arabia from October 20 to 30 at the King Saud University Stadium, after of the opening ceremony which is scheduled for October 19th in the Green Hall at Prince Faisal bin Fahad Olympic Complex.
What are the sports played at the World Combat Games 2023?
16 different sports, including aikido, armwrestling, boxing, fencing, judo, jujitsu, karate, kendo, kickboxing, muay thai, sambo, savate, sumo, taekwondo, wrestling, and wushu, will be represented by competitors.
The event, taking place at the Sports Arena at King Saud University in Riyadh, will welcome over 1,500 male and female athletes from more than 120 countries and the tournament will kick-off with Boxing, Karate and Sambo bouts on the 20th and 21st of October. Sumo and Wushu competitions will take place from the 21st and 22nd October, with Judo matches lined up for the 23rd while restling fans can anticipate electrifying matches from the 23rd to the 26th of October.
Jujitsu contests have been organised from the 24th to the 26th October, with Aikido matches slated for the 24th and 25th of October and fans fond of Fencing and Kickboxing will be able to witness enthralling contests from the 25th to the 27th of October, Armwrestling from 27th to 28th, and Kendo from the 29th to 30th of October.
The 11-day tournament will undoubtedly finish with thrilling competitions from Muaythai, Savate and Taekwondo from 28th to 30th October.
