2. Alireza Firouzja

Currently on his highest World Ranking, Alireza became Grandmaster just at the age of 14. After four years he shined at the bigger stages when he won the FIDE Grand Swiss Open and an individual Gold at the European Team Chess Championship.

3. Ding Liren

The former World No.2 is a three time Chinese Chess Champion and has represented China at the Chess Olympiad from 2012-18. In 2016, he became the achieved the highest Blitz rating ever earned by a player (2875 points).

4. Fabiano Caruana

At number four on our list we have American-Italian Chess player, Fabiano Caruana. After winning U.S Chess Open in 2016, he went on too represent United States at the 42nd Chess Olympiad where he obtained team Gold and Individual Bronze.

5. Ian Nepomniachtchi

Coming at number five is Russian Grandmaster and commentator Ian Nepomniachtchi, furthermore he won the World Team Championship in Antalya and Astana in 2013 and 2019 respectively representing the Russian Team. His win at the 2021 FIDE candidates tournament made him qualify for the 2021 World Championship.
