The WBC, which held its first edition back in 2006 is currently holding its 2023 edition from March 8 until March 21.

The United States are the reigning champions of the World Baseball Classic after winning the title in 2017. They have only managed to win one title so far, while Japan has the most WBC titles wins with two titles (2006, 2009).
WBC 2023 schedule and points table standings
The 2023 World Baseball Classic 2023 started off with the first match between Cuba and the Netherlands. While neither of them have won the WBC title, they have both come very close to winning it before. Cuba were the runners-up during the 2006 edition, while the Netherlands were semi-finalists in 2013 and 2017.
