At the 2023 World Athletics Championships, USA established a new track & field world record after winning the 4x400m mixed relay gold on Saturday. Ahead of silver medalist Great Britain and bronze medalist Czechia, USA finished with a timing of 3:08:80 thanks to stellar performance by quartet of Justin Robinson, Rosey Effiong, Matthew Boling, & Alexis Holmes.

However, before a stunning finish, Netherlands had appeared to be the favorite to win the race. Femke Bol lost her balance as she approached the finish line with the Dutch team in the lead, only moments after the fans witnessed Dutch competitor Sifan Hassan fall on the final lap and miss out on winning the 10,000m gold.
