Tokyo gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will be competing in World Athletics Championship that will kick off on 15 July. Neeraj Chopra already targeting gold in this championship and the confidence is high. Considering his previous performances, fans are hoping to see the same from the athlete.

Tokyo gold medalist Neeraj Chopra is the best hope of a medal at the Oregon Worlds for India.
However, the competition will be intense with some of the world’s best athletes will compete against each other.
World Athletic Championship will start on 15 July and for the men’s Jelvin throw, the qualifier round will begin from 21 July. The final is scheduled for 23 July.
Neeraj Chopra is well aware of the top-tier competition at World Athletics Championship, said ‘it’ll take 89m plus throw to win at the championship.
The men’s jevlin throwers will be divided into two groups for the qualifiers round and the top eight best throwers will advance to the finals. The event will take place during the afternoon session.
Neeraj Chopra Previous Performances
After winning gold in Tokyo, Neeraj Chopra has been impressively performing. He won gold at Kurotane Games in Finland, with a throw of 86.69 m.
Won the silver medal at Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland, with a throw of 89.30m.
Won silver at the Diamond Stockholm Diamond League, with a throw of 89.94.

He has only featured in three events so far, but his performances have been excellent throughout. He came very close to 90m mark in his two of the previous three events.
The last throw of 89.94 m has been the best throw of his career. With only 6cm short of 90m, there has been speculation that he will cross the 90m mark in the upcoming championship.
In the end, the only things that will matter to him and India is the gold medal.
Men’s javelin throw kickoff timings and dates
The men’s javelin throw event is scheduled for July 21. It will be Day 7 of the World Championship.
•Qualification for Group A will start at 5.05 pm local time (5:35 am IST)
•Qualification for Group B will start at 6:35 pm local time (7:05 am IST)
The Final of the men’s javelin throw is scheduled for July 23. It will start at 6:35 pm local time (7:05 am IST).
