Day seven of the World Athletics Championships came to an end yesterday with USA and Jamaica dominating throughout the day. The seventh day of the ongoing competition just had two finals of both men’s and women’s 200m event.

In men’s 200m dash USA completely brushed its opponents by securing 1-2-3 positions respectively. This is the first time that any country has secured all three positions in both 100m and 200m event.

In women’s 200m dash Jamaica completely dominated the final with Shericka Jackson winning the gold medal, followed by her fellow countrymate Shelly-Ann-Fraser-Pryce winning the silver. The third place was secured by Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain.
After the end of day 7, USA continued to lead the competition by winning 22 medals overall, followed by Ethiopia with 8 medals overall, while Jamaica jumped to the third spot with 6 medals overall.

Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra storms into Javelin throw final with an impressive throw of 88.39m in his first attempt. This is Neeraj Chopra’s maiden World Atheltics Championships final appearance. Neeraj Chopra opened the Group A qualification round and flew his spear to 88.39m mark, this was Neeraj Chopra’s third-best throw of his career. The men’s javelin throw final round will take place on Sunday.
