The eighteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships is underway at Eugene, Oregon, USA.ย Some of the world-famous track and field athletes are competing in this yearโs competition and there is no doubt that sports fans around the globe would have witnessed the exciting four days of the competition.

So far the world’s number one team USA is leading the medal tally for the consecutive three days in a row with a total of 15 medals won so far. They would ย be hoping to further extend their lead in upcoming events.
Indian athlete’s event results at World Athletics Championships 2022 so far:
The results from the Indian athletes have not been up to the mark as expected, on day 4 of the World Athletics Championships, Indiaโs Avinash Sable finished 11th in the menโs 3000m steeplechase final. Earlier, Indiaโs long jumper Murali Shreshankar finished 7th in the final with a best distance of 8.00 metres. While in the shot put event, Tajinderpal Singh Toor had to rule out due to injury before the qualification round. In the womenโs 300m steeplechase Parul Yadav failed to make it to the finals. Meanwhile, womenโs 200m sprinter S Dhanalakshmi was forced to miss the event due to a visa issue.
As day four concluded yesterday, now athletes are gearing up to give their all on day 5.
