Here’s how I got today’s answer to Wordle 264. I initially guessed ‘AUDIO,’ which revealed that there was an A in the word, but it wasn’t in the correct position. Because there were no other letters in the word, I chose the word ‘SMART.’ This revealed that there was a S in the word, but it was not in the correct position, and I still didn’t have the A in the correct position.
I then settled on the word ‘GASSY.’ This put the A and S in their proper places, but no other letters were revealed. I eventually guessed a word that also had an E in it, ‘FALSE.’ This was a great guess because it put the E at the beginning of the word, and I now knew the word began with an L.
