Some players may be stumped and down to their last few guesses. Rather than ruining their streak, they’d like some clues to help them figure out the Wordle of the Day. Today’s hints for Wordle 230 are as follows:
Hint 1: Contains the letter T
Hint 2: It starts with the letter L
Hint 3: There are two vowels in the word

So that’s how I got through today’s Wordle. I began with the word ‘LATER,’ which was an excellent starting point because the letters L, A, T, and E were all yellow, indicating that all of the letters appear in the word, but not in those specific positions. I then wanted to check if there was a letter that could be added to the front of the word ‘LATE’ to produce a new word, so I chose ‘SLATE.’ I was able to correctly locate the L in this word, and I also recognised it wouldn’t end in the letters ‘ATE.’
That being said, I was aware that there was an A and an E, indicating that these letters were more likely to be found together and in the order EA, as opposed to the ‘A-E’ form. It also meant that the word had to end in a T because it couldn’t start with TL or have LT in the middle, limiting the term to ‘-LEAT’.
There are just a few words that come to mind, such as ‘BLEAT’ or ‘CLEAT,’ but the one that sprang to mind and became Wordle 230.
The Answer is PLEAT.
