Wonk Nose Paki meaning explained as Conor McGregor uses racial slur for Pakistani man on Twitter

The Irish superstar Conor McGregor is under backlash for using a racist slur on social media to make fun of a Pakistani man.

This time, it’s definitely the latter, as fight fans on social media are highlighting the former two-division champion’s racist slur hurled to a Pakistani man who brought up his arch-rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The user wrote, “Remember the Name Khabib.” This made Conor McGregor lash out in response, saying, “Remember this name ‘wonk nose paki.'” The response then went viral on social media.

McGregor might have gone too far after referring to the supporter as a “Paki” and making racial insults. Not everyone knows about this, people from Pakistan were first derogatorily referred to as “Paki” in the United Kingdom.

Over the years, McGregor has been well-known for his controversial statements and actions. Furthermore, he has good reason to harbour resentment towards Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In addition, the Irish fighter had used the racial slur multiple times in a voice note he left for X. McGregor’s tweets went viral online and swiftly acquired popularity on social media platforms. McGregor has now taken down the tweet, though. However, it was too late as the tweet had already gone viral with many people sharing their own views.

Meanwhile, ever since his trilogy fight at UFC 264 in July 2021 against Poirier, McGregor has refrained from competing. This was McGregor’s second consecutive loss to “The Diamond,” and his third in his previous four fights (22–6). His most recent triumph came against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in a Welterweight battle at UFC 246 in January 2020 via technical knockout (head kick and punches).

Additionally, the UFC superstar revealed on Tuesday that he will be supporting the IBF bantamweight champion before her December 9 matchup with Avril Mathie.
