MBC and Disney Plus broadcasted the final episode, episode 14, of “Wonderful World” on Saturday, April 13, 2024 with its ending now explained

“Wonderful World” drama stars Cha Eun-Woo and Kim Nam-Joo and follows the story of two individuals who become intertwined due to their past traumas in a revenge-themed K-drama.

In the previous episode of “Wonderful World,” Seon-Yul (portrayed by Cha Eun-Woo) and Soo-Hyun (portrayed by Kim Nam-Joo) uncovered the truth about Soo-Hyun’s son’s passing. It emerged that Kim Joon unintentionally struck the toddler, leading him to seek assistance from Seon-Yul’s father.

Seon-Yul’s father assumed responsibility and, in a tragic turn, ended the child’s life. In exchange, he asked Kim Joon to save Seon-Yul, who urgently needed a heart transplant. At the end of the episode, Seon-Yul promised to assist Soo-Hyun who publicly exposed Kim Joon’s name at her book conference.

Meanwhile, Seon-Yul attempted to strangle Kim-Joon. In the final episode of Wonderful World, Soo-Hyun exposes Kim Joon’s wrongdoing through the media. Although the presidential candidate is called in by the police, he manages to prove his innocence. Despite numerous challenges, Soo-Hyun and Seon-Yul ultimately achieve justice, leading to a happy ending.

In episode 14, Kim Joon, portrayed by Park Hyuk-Kwon, manipulates public opinion and the media using his political tactics. However, Soo-Hyun remains determined to seek justice for her son’s death and ensure Kim Joon’s imprisonment. Seon-Yul assists Soo-Hyun in her pursuit of justice, as Kim Joon has also harmed him.

Seon-Yul confronts the presidential candidate on a rooftop to record his confession, aiming to hold him accountable. However, Kim Joon and his guards discover the recording device and assault Seon-Yul. Meanwhile, Soo-Hyun executes her final plan to stage a protest against the perpetrator. Gradually, many supporters join her despite the inclement weather. Seon-Yul and his allies arrive just in time when Kim Joon’s associates start attacking the demonstration.

Despite the growing number of protesters, there are still many people who back Kim Joon. However, his campaign claiming he’s been set up is thwarted by a live broadcast. Soo-Hyun’s husband, Soo-Ho (played by Kim Kang-Woo) airs a report revealing Kim Joon’s true character. Soo-Ho presents Seon-Yul’s video evidence and a recording from the day of the accident, clearly implicating Kim Joon as responsible for the death of Soo-Hoo and Soo-Hyun’s son.

As Soo-Ho reveals Kim Joon’s true nature during a live broadcast, a flashback reveals Seon-Yul meeting Soo-Ho and pledging to bring the perpetrator to justice. Now, Soo-Hyun discovers that her husband has never given up on the quest for justice for their son. Following the revelation of Kim Joon’s crimes to the public, the police apprehend him by bringing peace to Seon-Yul and Soo-Hyun.

At the court proceeding, the perpetrator receives a life sentence. Afterwards, Seon-Yul confronts Kim Joon in prison, vowing to make his time behind bars challenging. Seon-Yul meets Soo-Hyun, who encourages him to live life to the fullest.

As the Wonderful World series concludes, it jumps six years ahead. Soo-Hyun has achieved fame as an author and manages an orphanage, while Soo-Ho continues his career as a popular news anchor. Though divorced, both are content in their separate lives.

Meanwhile, Seon-Yul has become a doctor. In the finale episode of Wonderful Wonder, Seon-Yul goes to Soo-Hyun’s book signing event for Wonderful World. He sends her a message saying, “I’m okay now.” They share a moment, exchanging smiles filled with relief and happiness.
