Women’s World Matchplay Darts 2022 Final Results, Score, Winner And Prize Money Purse Pool Breakdown
The Professional Darts Corporation held the debut edition of the competition during the 2022 Betfred Women’s World Matchplay. The top eight competitors from the 2022 PDC Women’s Series Order of Merit participated in the knockout competition, with the victor gaining a spot in the Grand Slam of Darts in 2022. On July 24, 2022, the competition was held in the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, and Fallon Sherrock won the championship after defeating Dutchwoman Aileen de Graaf 6-3.
2022 Women’s World Matchplay Final Day Results, Fixtures And Score
Sherrock defeated Dutch star Aileen de Graaf 6-3 in the championship match on Sunday to win the top prize of £10,000 and guarantee her place in the Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts in November. The 27-year-old won the historic eight-player competition, the PDC’s first completely broadcast women’s tournament, after also defeating Katie Sheldon and Lorraine Winstanley.
After taking a slim 3-2 lead in the final, De Graaf appeared poised to defy the odds, but Sherrock reeled off four straight legs in the closing moments to add another illustrious page to her darting career. Sherrock, who had earlier in the day faced 18-year-old phenom Sheldon, came back from a 2-1 deficit to get to the semifinals.
Prior to losing to De Graaf in a gripping semifinal matchup, Ashton, the 2022 winner of seven Women’s Series championships, opened her campaign with a rout of Scottish teenager Chloe O’Brien.

A berth in the 2022 Grand Slam of Darts is also reserved for the tournament’s victor, Fallon Sherrock, who also received £10,000 as the prize for winning the 2022 Women’s World Matchplay. Aileen de Graaf, the second-place finisher, was awarded a $5,000 prize.
