From October 8 to November 12, 2022, Auckland and Whangarei in New Zealand will host the ninth edition of the women’s rugby world cup, also known as the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup. Eight of the 12 participating teams will advance to the quarterfinals, and with some heavyweight matches on the horizon, the race for qualifying has gotten more competitive.

2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup Results Today, Score, Upcoming Round 2 Schedule, Date, Time, & Venue
In Group A clash of 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup between Scotland and Australia, both teams entered the field knowing defeat might end their knockout qualification chances. During initial moments of game, Scotland dominated the game and raced to 12-0 lead by half-time. However, Australia levelled their game up during second-half and applied continuous pressure on Scotland. Ultimately, this paid off and resulted in two tries for Australia, who earned their first victory in ongoing tournament with 14-12 score line. Due to proximity of defeat, Scotland bagged one point despite loss and sit bottom with two-points from two games.
Similarly, USA faced-off against Japan on Saturday in a must-win game but found themselves under trouble following below-par first half. However, seventh-ranked USA team stepped-up their game during second half and raced to massive 30-17 win. Owing to this 13-point victory, USA bagged four win points plus one bonus point while Japan remain emptyhanded after two heavy loss in two matches.
During their first match, England wreaked havoc with 13 tries and fans expected a similar performance from them against France. However, France’s resolute defense made things difficult for England as they could muster only one try in first-half. This trend continued in second-half but Emily Scarratt’s try gave England a comfortable 13-0 lead with under 20 minutes remaining. Following this deficit, France switched to offense and put immense pressure on England but ultimately lost by score line of 13-7.
On Sunday at 12:45 local time, Italy and Canada will square off in a World Cup 2021 encounter at Waitakere Stadium. Italy and Canada are presently locked atop Pool B with a point differential. In an effort to capitalize on their opening victory over the Wallaroos, New Zealand will play Pool A opponents Wales prior to the encounter between South Africa and the winless Fiji in Pool C.
