India is playing the tournament as defending champions, having won the inaugural edition in Patna back in 2012.
Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 dates and venue
The 2025 Women’s Kabaddi World Cup is currently taking place in Mirpur, Bangladesh, from November 17 to 24. The Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium is hosting all the matches, and this year’s tournament marks the first time that any Kabaddi World Cup has been hosted outside India.

Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 format
The group stage of the ongoing tournament follows a round-robin format set for twelve nations. However, since Argentina withdrew before the competition started, the organizers have split the remaining 11 teams into two groups, with each team playing every other team in its group once. The top two teams from each group will then qualify for the semi-finals, where the knockout rounds will determine the finalists and the eventual champions.
