Although India have never won the Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup, the Indian squad began their 2023 campaign in style with an explosive 22-0 win against Chinese Taipei. On Monday, India will continue their title quest with a match against Malaysia.

2023 Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup day 2 schedule, date, venue, latest scores, & participating teams
Thanks to their stellar offensive display against Uzbekistan at the 2023 Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup, India emerged victorious by score of 22-0. For India, star forward Annu scored six goals and Deepika bagged four goals. In another Group-A tie, South Korea defeated Chinese Taipei 5-1 and started their title quest on high-note. Among other matches of Saturday, China thrashed Indonesia 18-0 and Japan earned massive 23-0 win against Hong Kong to sit at the top of Group-B.
According to the official schedule, it is confirmed that hosts Japan will face-off against Indonesia on Sunday. Meanwhile, India will play against Malaysia on Monday knowing a win will help them inch closer towards semi-final spot. In other matches of Sunday, Malaysia will take on Chinese Taipei and South Korea will square-off against Uzbekistan. Currently, the tournament is being held in Japan’s Kakamigahara.
