2023 Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup India vs South Korea schedule, date, venue, latest scores, & participating teams
Although India struggled against Malaysian defense before falling behind 0-1 in the first quarter, their barrage of attacks finally paid-off as Mumtaz scored in the 10th minute to restore parity at 1-1. Deepika scored in the 26th minute and allowed India to establish 2-1 lead ahead of half-time. Malaysia tried their best to tie the score but India’s stubborn defense kept them at bay and ultimately, India won 2-1 to regain their Group-A leadership.
With this win, India have inched closer towards semi-final qualification and they can ensure it with a win against South Korea on Tuesday. Among other matches of Monday, tournament favorites China thrashed Kazakhstan by score of 14-0 and stayed just behind Japan in terms of goal difference. On Tuesday, hosts Japan will face-off against China in a clash that can determine Group-B winner.
