The Women’s FIH Pro League, a field hockey competition for women’s national teams, will have its fourth season from November 2022 to July 2023. While Argentina, the defending champions, will open their 2022-23 Women’s FIH Pro League campaign on November 5 against Germany, Belgium will play Germany in the season opener.

Women’s FIH Pro League Schedule, List of Teams, & Title Contenders
At the FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup 2022, Australia made their comeback to international hockey, where their staunch defense and knack for scoring at crucial times helped them finish third and take home a bronze medal. Meanwhile, by finishing the 2021–22 Pro League season in fourth place, Belgium had their best-ever performance. These teams are considered dark-horses to become champion of upcoming Women’s FIH Pro League but may face stiff competition from Argentina and Netherlands.
In the previous season of FIH Women’s Pro League, Netherlands came in second place, four points behind champions Argentina. Netherlands, who have already won the Pro League title twice, will be aiming to win their third crown. As the team who defeated reigning champions Argentina in both Olympic and World Cup final, Netherlands are expected to be the biggest obstacle in quest of Argentina’s second-straight title.
Through the whole 2021–22 season of FIH Pro League, Argentina were consistent in both defense and offence. Hence, it is expected that as defending champions Argentina will continue to give tough competition to title contenders and retain their title.
2022–23 Women’s FIH Pro League List of Teams, Standings & Point Table
From October through July, nine teams will compete in a round-robin competition featuring home and away games, with the top-ranked team being declared champion. Whichever team finishes last in the standings will be demoted to FIH Nation’s league after the end of season.
