The announcement was announced on Monday, only days after Messi’s PSG suspension for travelling to Saudi Arabia without authorization. The French public is hostile to the Argentine World Cup champion after the team’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League.

Messi has reportedly already notified PSG that he will leave the French team, according to Fabrizio Romano. It appeared like he would rejoin a La Liga champion Barcelona, but if the El Chiringuito rumour is accurate, it will be difficult for the Catalans to match Al-Hilal’s offer.

Is Barcelona in trouble?

Another setback for Barcelona would be losing Busquets and Alba. MLS powerhouse Inter Miami, which is co-owned by David Beckham and Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney, has also expressed interest in Messi.

Messi would surpass Cristiano Ronaldo’s earnings at Al-Nassr if the contract he signed with Al-Hilal is as reported.  According to media estimates, Ronaldo’s contract is worth more than 200 million euros ($214.04 million).  After spending a year at Barcelona, Lionel Messi will reportedly go to Saudi Arabia, according to Onda Cero. According to FIFA-registered agent Marco Kirdermir, the 35-year-old would only play at Camp Nou “when he retires,” according to Radio Marca.

However, more importantly, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr are city rivals. If Messi chooses the Saudi Arabian club, there will be a clash of goats in the derby. So, as a fan where do you want Messi to end up at the end of the transfer window?
