As we get closer to finals, it gets more difficult for fans to get their hands on the tickets. This is because on the morning of the final, Wimbledon’s official site offers only a very limited number of tickets. These tickets are distributed through mobile apps on both iOS and Android. Aside from the official site, fans can also purchase the tickets through resale sights like Viagogo and Stubhub. Amex, which is one of the tournament’s commercial partners, will also offer last-minute tickets. Wimbledon page and social media channels will post updates on the availability of tickets.

Wimbledon queue system

Unlike many other major sports tournaments worldwide, Wimbledon offers a very unique queue system where a small amount of tickets are reserved for fans that choose to queue on the day of the game. The organizers save up around 500 tickets for Centre Court, Court No.1 and Court No.2 per day. This is apart from the final four days of the tournament.

Fans can also purchase a grounds pass to enter the All England Club during the final two days. Fans can use these entries to watch the finals from the big screen on the hill just outside Centre Court. This year, the grounds passes cost £15 ($18) on the day of the women’s final and £8 ($10) on men’s final day.

According to the official Wimbledon website, fans should start joining the queue just a few hours before the grounds open at 9.30 local time each morning. However, fans often start lining up in the early hours. The organizers will start allocating wristbands for the successful fans starting at around 7.30 a.m. local time each day.
