All you need to know about the 2022 Wimbledon Championships in women’s singles including the draw and schedule
The qualifiers of the third Grand Slam have already started on 20. The main draw will start from this month on June 27th and will run until July 10.
Iga Swiatek the current world No. 1, starts the competition with a 35-match winning streak, tied for the 16th longest run during the Open Era.
Meanwhile, due to a right hamstring injury, the legendary American sustained in the same tournament, Serena Williams was given a wild card to participate in the competition, marking her return to the sport after over a year. She’ll be vying for a record-tying 24th major singles championship.

Wimbledon Championships 2022 Prize Money And Points Distribution
The overall prize money for the Wimbledon Championships in 2022 is expected to reach a record high of £40,350,000, an increase of 6.18 per cent from 2019 and 15.23% from 2021 when the tournament was last contested in front of a full house.
The governing organisations, ATP and WTA responded to the championship’s prohibition on players based on their nationality by deciding not to award any points.
