Ex-Chelsea and Arsenal winger, Willian has cut down short his stay at the Brazilian club, Corinthians and exited his contract after death threats to his family
The Brazilian footballer rejoined his boyhood club last year after spending nearly a decade and half in Europe i.e, in Ukraine, Russia and England.

Willian Terminates Contract With Corinthians After Continuous Death Threats To Him And His Family
Since returning to The People’s Team, Willian has managed only one goal in his 45 appearances. However, the Brazilian player failed to lift the Brazilian giants as they crashed out of Libertadores which is South America’s premier club competition.
The competition was held in Rio bigwigs Flamengo for the quarter-finals.
During the competition, club Atletico Goianiense was down to 2-0 in the Copa do Brasil quarters but they have it all to do in the second leg. But Willian won’t be there to help affect a turnaround.
On Friday, the Brazilian player told the media that he will return to Europe and that he had terminated his contract with his club.
Meanwhile interacting with publications, he also said goodbye to his club and showed his gratitude to his fans and club.
He said, “Saying goodbye to Corinthians today I want to thank the club for the opportunity to wear this shirt again and to the fans who largely supported me.
Unfortunately due to the constant threats that my family and I suffered, I made the decision to terminate the contract, understanding that it would be better for me and the club. I wish the club all the best and may God bless everyone”.
He also said that, “My wife, my daughters, after a while (they) also started attacking my father, and my sister.”
London remains a preferred destination for him and his family to reside in England. It’s a city he’s quite familiar with after having turned out for 2 of its most successful clubs.
The Winger has also won FA Cup and Europa League silverware while at the club.
