Fans are extremely excited to try out the new WWE 2K23 following the huge success of the previous instalment, 2K22.
Moreover, to add more excitement, this year’s instalment will feature the John Cena showcase mode matches. The new instalment will also have play showcase, MyGM, MyRise, and Universe mode.
Will WWE 2K23 feature crossplay mode
Much to the disappointment of fans, WWE 2K23 will not feature a crossplay mode. As such, it will also not have cross platform multiplayer between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
This comes as disappointing news for players who were looking to play with friends on opposing platforms. There are chances that 2K could possibly add it post-launch like how they did with PGA Tour 2K23. However, they haven’t added the online function as well, to NBA 2K23, which makes a late addition very unlikely.
Although the game will not feature crossplay multiplayer, fans will be happy to hear that it will feature cross-gen progression. As such, players who first buy the PS4/Xbox One version and then upgrade to PS5/Xbox Series X/S, can carry over your progress and VC.
Cross Platform Community Creations explained
Although WWE 2K23 will not have crossplay multiplayer, it will bring back cross platform community creations. Cross platform community creations was initially introduced in 2K22. The feature allows fans to download all CAWs, custom belts, custom arenas, images, and everything else possible across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
In fact, the only thing that fans can’t download on consoles from PC is the mods. Irrespective of whether or not WWE 2K23 will feature crossplay, it will surely be an amazing game. 2K recently revealed the full roster list and ratings ahead of the release. It also revealed all of the DLC packs which are part of the season pass.
