The story of the high school drama series revolves around an elite school girl Komi who lacks communication skills.
Despite being the prettiest girl in the school, she is all alone as she doesn’t have any friends. Her whole school sees her as a mysterious girl.
However, after meeting with Tadano, Komi starts to change as she began to opens up about with the former and started telling her wish of making one hundred friends before leaving high school.
Meanwhile, Tadano decided to help her close friend in achieving her goals.
As per the official synopsis of the anime written by streaming giant, Netflix, the series is about “At a high school full of unique characters, Tadano helps his shy and unsociable classmate Komi reach her goal of making friends with 100 people.”
Let us remind you, the anime is an adaptation of Oda Tomohito’s manga of the same name, which was serialized in Shōnen Weekly Magazine back on May 18, 2016 after publishing a one shot manga.
As the manga was released back in 2016 so it has enough source material. Till now the anime series has covered upto 10 volumes of the manga.
Episode 24th of the series has covered upto chapter 130 of the manga.
Will There Be Season 3
For those who are curious to know whether there will another installment of the anime or not, let us tell you, the director of the anime series, Ayumu Watanabe, have revealed his hope for the third season.
In an earlier interview with Looper, the director of the anime series, Ayumu expressed “Yes. I think any director would love to work on whatever they’re working on and see it until the end. I would love to, at least until they graduate.”
However, the makers of the anime series hasn’t updated any official statement regarding the next installment of the series. So, the status regarding Season 3 of the series’ cancellation is yet unknown.
We’re still expecting the announcement regarding Season 3 of the anime in the beginning of 2023, so next installment of the series mat come out sometime in 2024 as the anime adaptation usually took much more time.
