See You in My 19th Life has not been renewed for a second season by Netflix as of this writing. It would be interesting to see if they renew this for a second season in light of the ratings it has received throughout the weeks.
Despite their popularity, Korean dramas are rarely renewed for a second season. This trend has reversed in recent years, but we still think See You in My 19th Life won’t be extended for a second season because of all the talented people involved.

In Season 1, we meet Ban Ji-eum, a lady who has access to her complete reincarnation history. Ban Ji-eum has been reincarnating for nearly a thousand years and making the most of each one. She chooses to track down a man named Moon Seo Ha from her 18th life after an accident terminates her previous one. Can their love survive through her 19th incarnation?

The show effectively concluded, however there was one unresolved plot thread. The fate of Min-ki remains unknown. Is he also normal, or did he fail at that? How and why does he, of all others, have the secret to fitting in? Really, there are a lot of unknowns about Min-ki.
Meanwhile, we’re thrilled for Do-hyun and Cho-won, even if their happy ending came a little too quickly. Our only gripe is that we never got to witness their chemistry as a pair. We feel like we missed out on all of their perfect moments.
Finally, the ending is uncertain, but I’m going to go ahead and believe that Ji-eum gave in to Seo-ha’s sentiments and that they lived happily ever after. She hopefully fell hard for his attractions and could not resist his love in less than a day, as Seo-ha joked.
We’ll also pretend that Ji-eum, Ae-gyeong, and Cho-won made friends and stayed in touch, but we’ll have to wait for Season 2 to find out for sure.
