When Rachel Sennott denied understanding the “Fatima” meme in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on November 15, 2024, American producer Jordan Firstman, who was standing next to Sennott, attempted to explain the nickname by incorrectly stating that “Fatima is a woman of the people, like a Fatima works a 9-5.”
With the description, “She kinda look like her name is Fatima but in a white way,” X user @Miagothstan posted a photo of American actress Rachell Sennott. Within a year, the image received over 14 million views. As admirers began using the term humorously in memes and jokes about the actress on numerous social media platforms, namely X, the tweet referring to Rachel Sennott as a “Fatima” grew widespread online over the course of the following year.
