Reports from the media indicated that when Bhatia arrived at the Greater Noida district court for a case hearing, he engaged in a heated argument with local lawyers who were on strike, leading to a verbal altercation.

What happened with Gaurav Bhatia at the district court?
Upon arriving at the Greater Noida district court for a case hearing, Bhatia engaged in a heated argument with local lawyers, as various media reports claimed. Members of the local Bar Association informed him of the court-related work suspension due to their strike. The verbal altercation that arose resulted in accusations from certain social media users, claiming that the BJP leader had been assaulted. While posts also claimed there was a video of Gaurav being beaten, no such video has surfaced till now online.
Upon receiving information about the lawyers’ strike, the Supreme Court Bar Association stated that Gaurav Bhatia agreed willingly to postpone the matter. As a result, the case was adjourned in accordance with his agreement. Nevertheless, despite the adjournment, a lawyer acted inappropriately in front of the District and Sessions Judge and forcibly removed senior advocate Bhatia’s band, the statement clarified.

Why Gaurav Bhatia visited the district court?
The association condemned the incident and urged the local bar’s executive body to take strict action against the lawyer involved. In contrast, the Gautam Budh Nagar Bar Association denied any altercation between lawyers and Bhatia, rejecting rumors of conflict, physical assault, or indecent conduct. Reports indicated that Bhatia arrived at the court for a case involving YouTuber Elvish Yadav. Tensions rose when lawyers requested him to remove his black armband.
Police swiftly intervened, escorting the BJP spokesperson to his car and ensuring his departure from the scene. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh police detained two more suspects, Ishwar and Vinay, both from Haryana, for allegedly smuggling snake venom, following the arrest of Elvish Yadav. Currently under investigation, authorities suspect the involvement of more individuals in the illicit trade.
