It’s because of UEFA regulations
Teams must rename their stadiums since, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the governing body, sponsored stadiums are not formally recognised by UEFA.
Similar circumstances force Manchester City, who had been playing at the Etihad Stadium, to rename their home pitch the City of Manchester Stadium.
Meanwhile, over the past several seasons, Arsenal has shown tremendous improvement by defeating some of the best clubs; yet, under Mikel Arteta, they will face their greatest test to date this week. In the first leg of their quarterfinal Champions League match, they will host Bayern Munich, which is significant for a number of reasons.
Bayern Munich and Arsenal have played around a lot throughout the years, especially in the later half of Arsene Wenger’s tenure. Under Mikel Arteta, this is the ideal chance for the Gunners to show off their recent progress.
World-class talent on show nevertheless, the game will surely come down to team efforts. With an outstanding victory over Brighton on Saturday, Arteta’s club has rekindled its title campaign by winning 10 of their 11 Premier League games since the beginning of the year and conceding just four goals.
On the other hand, after giving up a two-goal lead and losing 3-2 at Heidenheim, Bayern’s chances of winning the Bundesliga again appear to be virtually gone. Meanwhile, unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen is now just three points away from winning their first championship.
Talking about the Premier League, with seven games remaining for each team, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City are separated by just one point at the top of the Premier League standings. Additionally, Arsenal and Man City may face each other in the Champions League semifinals.
