While Rajveer had accepted the challenge initially, he refused to turn up for the showdown claiming he wouldn’t fight in Haryana being from Uttar Pradesh. The fight also failed to go through owing to the Jhajjar Police’s invertion with them detaining Rajat Dalal and his team on Saturday as news of the fight went viral.

28-year-old Rajat Dalal who is a Hindu was born on January 12, 1996 to parents belonging to the Jaat community. He is 5 feet 10 inches. Dalal attended the Manav Rachna University. Rajat Dalal comes from a close-knit family including his father, Mohinder Singh Dalal, two brothers, Mukesh Dalal, and an unnamed brother, and a sister, Neeru Dalal who resides in Australia.

Rajat Dalal career and achievements

Rajat Dalal’s list of achievements in powerlifting is extensive. On December 16, 2018, Rajat Dalal set a Classic Raw World Record in the Deadlift, lifting 302.5 kg (666.5 pounds) in the 90 kg (198 pounds) weight class in the Men’s Junior 20-23 division.

On July 24, 2017, Rajat Dalal secured the 1st place in the Haryana State Strongman Challenge Championship in the 93 kg weight class.

In 2017, he was recognized as the Best Player in Powerlifting at the BITS Pilani Open Sports Meet. He also achieved success at the National Deadlift Championship in the 85 kg weight class.

On April 22, 2018, Rajat excelled at the National Benchpress and Deadlift Championship (Raw) in the 85 kg weight class.

December 14, 2018, marked another milestone in his career when he won the World Cup organized by the World Powerlifting Congress (WPC) in the 90 kg weight class of the junior division.

His accomplishments continued on April 9, 2021, at the Powerlifting Championships by World Powerlifting Congress India (WPC- India) in the 90 kg weight class.

On December 13, 2019, he achieved success at the World Cup organized by the World Powerlifting Congress (WPC) in the 100 kg weight class of Pro Juniors 20-23 and Pro Open division.

On December 4, 2019, he competed in the World Championships organized by the World Powerlifting Congress (WPC) in the 100 kg weight class of the Pro Juniors 20-23 division. Rajat Dalal controversies

Despite his achievements, Rajat Dalal has not been immune to controversies. In 2023, he found himself embroiled in a public feud with fellow powerlifter Sourav Kumar Singh, aka Singha. The feud escalated, leading to a physical altercation between the two athletes. Additionally, Rajat faced membership issues at Anytime Fitness in Delhi where he was allegedly mistreated regarding his membership fees.

In March 2024, Rajat Dalal was involved in a dispute with fitness influencer Joyjyoti Dutta Chaudhary over delayed fitness equipment delivery. The feud resulted in legal action, with Rajat demanding compensation of Rs 50 lakhs and filing an FIR against Joyjyoti.

Recently in March 2024, Rajat Dalal engaged in a personal feud with Super Singh who is a Canadian fitness influencer. He claimed to have prior knowledge of Singh’s wife’s premarital affair. Additionally, he had a heated confrontation with Rajveer Sisodiya, both on Instagram and in person.
