Users of the social media app TikTok have found that searching for “glass cleaner” yields odd results and video, usually under the hashtags “#glasscleaner” and “#BMW”
Many people are shocked by this strange occurrence, and other users claim that the Glass Cleaner videos have left them scarred. Those who are aware are enticing those who are not, while many are cautioning others not to look for the phrase.

A sequence of p*rnographic videos uploaded to TikTok in October 2024 with the hashtags #glasscleaner (glass cleaner) and #BMW (BMW) are referred to as the “Glass Cleaner” TikTok Search, also known as #glasscleaner or “BMW Glass Cleaner,” which miraculously evaded TikTok’s censors.
Instead of displaying the information directly, the videos displayed hazy outlines of it that were filtered out, making it clear upon closer inspection. When TikTokers saw the videos in October 2024, they swiftly turned into a fad on the app known as “Don’t Google.” A lot of people have compared the situation to the Thirst Trap Search Results Phenomenon on TikTok.

TikToker @0.luv.4k uploaded a video on October 24, 2024, with the description, “BRO WHY IS TIKTOK NOT DOING ANYTHING ABT THIS?” written in all uppercase. In the caption of the video, the TikToker cautioned viewers against searching for “glasscleaner” on the app and against doing so in public.
The TikToker was alluding to films on the “#glasscleaner” hashtag on TikTok that contained explicit content concealed by filters. The content appeared to have gotten past TikTok’s moderation mechanisms due to the filters.
More users uploaded videos concerning “#glasscleaner” and “#BMW,” which was frequently associated with the former, in the days that followed. For example, TikToker@angirebolloso shared a video on October 26th, 2024, referencing both hashtags. In just two days, the video received over 835,400 plays and 3,300 likes.
A similar video, with Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet rotating around with his mouth open, was posted on TikToker @somethinglikethat893 on October 27th.
