Minal Modi was born on September 9, 1954, under the name Minal Aswani in Nigeria, Africa (she was 64 at the time of his death).

She first got married to Jack Sagrani, a highly successful businessman who had previously worked in Nigeria, London, and Saudi Arabia. Sagrani’s name appeared in a scam while she was carrying his kid, for which he was imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for seven months. She gave birth to a girl named Karima in London after his detention.
She relocated from a Gulf nation to Delhi, India, in the late 1980s. She grew close to Bina Modi, the mother of Lalit Modi, while she was living in Delhi. Due to Minal’s regular visits to the Modi home, she and Lalit became close and decided to get married. She was separated from her husband and over 10 years older than Lalit, so it was not a stroll in the park for the couple. After much family conflict, the pair wed on 17 October 1991.
Following their nuptials, the pair moved to Mumbai, where Lalit tried his hand at a number of ventures but failed to find any success. After that, the two of them relocated to Rajasthan, where their good fortune struck when they met Vasundhara Raje, who was the chief minister of Rajasthan at the time. They claim that Raje assisted them in becoming virtually infallible in the Rajasthani administration.
The husband of Minal Modi saw great success in his real estate ventures under Raje’s administration. Furthermore, while serving as the IPL chairman, her spouse rose to the pinnacles of his profession. However, the Minal and Lalit love story came to an abrupt end in 2010 when he was fired over allegations of money laundering. Soon after, the couple moved to London from India, where she succumbed to cancer after a protracted battle.
Husband and family
Minal was born into a business-class Sindhi-Indian family. Her mother, Indra Aswani, was a stay-at-home mom, while her father, Pesu Aswani, was a well-known businessman in Nigeria. She had a younger sister named Priya Aswani who graduated from London’s esteemed Inchbald School of Design. She first wed high-flying businessman Jack Sagrani, who was located in Saudi Arabia. She divorced Sagrani after he was imprisoned, and afterwards, she wed Indian millionaire Lalit Modi.
Karima, her child with Jack Sagrani, is wed to Gaurav Burman of the Dabur company. Aliya, a daughter, and Ruchir, a son, were born to Minal and Lalit.
Death
On December 10, 2018, she passed away after a protracted fight with cancer. Her husband posted about her passing on social media. Lalit is now all set to get married for the second time to Sushmita.
