Rose Swisher
Rose Swisher, whom he wed on December 9, 1956, was Bill Russell’s first wife. Bill and Rose met while in college and spent a significant amount of Bill’s NBA success together.
But they got divorced in 1973. Rose led a relatively quiet life after her marriage to Bill came to an end. She avoided the spotlight.
The couple had three children, sons William Jr. and Jacob, and a daughter Karen Russell. The only kids Bill Russell ever had.
Karen Russell, daughter of Bill Russell was born in 962. She apparently holds degrees from Harvard Law School and Georgetown University and works as a legal and political analyst.
Bill’s first child, William Jr., was born in 1957 but died of cancer in 2016.

The legendary Celtics player had four spouses throughout his life. Four years after divorcing Rose Swisher, he got married to former Miss USA Dorothy Anstett.
One of the nine children of an employee at an aircraft plant worker, Dorothy Catherine Anstett was born on June 28, 1947.
She studied English at the University of Washington but later rose to renown as a beauty queen and pageant champion.
Anstett participated in the Miss Washington competition that year and came in second. She later went on to take home the Miss Washington USA 1968 crown. While attending Washington University, she later won Miss USA in 1968. In July, she represented the United States at Miss Universe 1968, where she finished as the fourth runner-up.
In 1977, she was hitched to Bill Russell. But three years later, in 1980, they split up. She’s still with us today.

Marilyn Nault was Bill’s third wife, whom he wed in 1996. Their marriage lasted till her passing in 2009.

Jeannine Russell, formerly known as Jeannine Fiorito and Jeannine Maddux, was Bill’s spouse at the time of his passing.
When Russell was 84, the couple were married in 2018. Bill’s social media accounts frequently featured Jeannine, a former professional golfer.
