Boisterous Southampton supporters made their feelings towards Manchester United blatantly clear
As Manchester United and Southampton stepped out to take on each other on Sunday at the St. Mary’s Stadium, the hosts knew they were going to be in for a long 90 minutes. They were up against a Manchester United side which had blown Leeds United apart last week, a team which was going to test Southampton to the hilt.
However, Southampton were unfazed on the day as they came out hammer and tongs. and they received the full backing of the home fans as well who were in full flow during the 90 minutes.
Southampton Supporters Take A Jibe At Manchester United
Boisterously cheering their players on, the Southampton spectators were seen singing, “Who the f*** are Man United,” as they took a swipe at their opponents.
The chant seemed to work like a charm as well with the home side going onto push hard. The team was eventually rewarded for its unnerving efforts as Che Adams gave the club the lead in the first half, a goal which was eventually ruled as a Fred own goal.

While Manchester United managed to restore parity as Mason Greenwood scored in the second half and Paul Pogba got his fifth assist in two matches, Southampton will still be pleased with the one point they managed to get from the affair. The side show immense will and resolve to earn the draw, one which has once again sparked talk of sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amongst the Manchester United supporters.
Jadon Sancho who was brought off the bench meanwhile endured a dreary night as he was in laggard touch on the day.
