Zubin Minoo Bharucha is a former cricketer turned coach who was born on January 8, 1970, in Bombay, Maharashtra in a Muslim family. Bharucha started out on his cricketing journey at a very young age, initially playing competitive cricket in England. During his time there, he even represented Reigate Priory Cricket Club as an overseas player at just 18 years old.

Bharucha mainly played as a right-handed opening batsman, and he is known for his composure and ability to build innings. He also bowled as a right-arm medium pacer.
Career and achievements
Zubin Bharucha started out his professional career with his first-class debut in November 1992 for Bombay. He scored an impressive century on his debut. Bharucha then went on to make several memorable performances in the 1994–95 Irani Cup, smashing an unbeaten 164 to lead Bombay’s victory in the cup. He was also a part of the Bombay squad that famously won the Ranji Trophy back in 1993-94. Besides representing Bombay, Zubin Bharucha also played for Surrey and India Youth XI.
Following his retirement, Bharucha worked as a reputed cricket mentor and technical analyst. He currently runs the World Cricket Academy in Mumbai, where he has trained several Test cricketers. Zubin Bharucha joined Rajasthan Royals as their team director back in 2008 and worked in that position until 2015. Bharucha attained a senior leadership role in 2018 and even briefly served as their head coach in 2012.
Over the years, Zubin has worked with prominent players like Yuvraj Singh besides collaborating with the England and Wales Cricket Board on technical coaching projects. Zubin currently serves as Director of Cricket for IPL team Rajasthan Royals.
