Blessing Muzarabani, born on October 2, 1996 in Murewa, Zimbabwe, has gained recognition as a right-arm fast-medium bowler known for his towering height of 6 feet 8 inches and his ability to generate sharp bounce and pace. His cricketing journey began at the age of seven at Takashinga Cricket Club in Highfield, Harare, where his raw talent was nurtured. His potential earned him a place in the Rising Stars Academy, handpicked by Tatenda Taibu, which toured England in 2017 to scout young Zimbabwean talents. He is currently single and unmarried.

Blessing Muzarabani who is a Christian by religion is known for his speed and height. He is considered one of the quickest bowlers in the Zimbabwean circuit and can clock 135-140 kph as at 6’8″, he bowls from a higher trajectory than other bowlers, giving him a steep angle and making him difficult to score off which is why RCB signed him for Rs.75 lakhs.

Notably, Muzarabani made his Test debut for Zimbabwe in 2017 against South Africa. He followed that up with his ODI debut against Bangladesh and his T20I debut against Afghanistan in 2018. After spending some time with Northamptonshire under a Kolpak contract, he returned to Zimbabwean cricket following the end of the Kolpak system brought about by Brexit.

His international record reflects his growing stature as a fast bowler. In Tests, he has taken 51 wickets from 12 matches at an impressive average of 21.84, with best figures of 7 for 58. In ODIs, he has claimed 69 wickets in 55 appearances at an average of 32.12, while his T20I record includes 78 wickets in 70 matches at an average of 21.76, with best figures of 3 for 8.

In April 2025, Muzarabani became the fastest Zimbabwean to reach 50 Test wickets, achieving the milestone in his 11th Test match, a feat that placed him alongside India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Harbhajan Singh. He was also a part of the Multan Sultans squad that won the Pakistan Super League in 2021, contributing 10 wickets in six matches. Prior to joining RCB, he was associated with the Lucknow Super Giants as a net bowler.
