Zakir Naik’s family and education

Zakir Naik attended Kishinchand Chellaram College and studied medicine at Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital. Later on, he enrolled at the University of Mumbai, India.

Naik’s wife, Farhat Naik is the president of the women’s section of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF). Zakir has established the United Islamic Aid, which offers scholarships to poor and destitute Muslim youth.

Zakir Abdul Karim Naik was born on the 18th of October in 1965 and presently his age is 57 years as of 2023. He was born to Abdul Karim.

Zakir Naik career

In late 1991, Zakir Naik began working in the field of dawah and established Islamic International School which is based in Mumbai, and the United Islamic Aid, which offers scholarships to differently-abled and poor, destitute Muslim youth.

Naik said in an interview in 2006, ‘he was inspired by Ahmed Deedat, who is a well-known Islamic preacher and they met in 1987.’ Naik is sometimes referred to as “Deedat plus.”

On the 21st of January in 2006, an Islamic Research Foundation, which he heads, founded Peace TV. It’s a non-profit Emirati satellite television network that is considered the world’s largest religious satellite television network.

In 2021, Naik launched Al Hidaayah which offers educational content related to Islam. This platform has videos of more than 40  Islamic speakers. The speakers include Ahmed Deedat, Hussein Ye, and Bilal Philips. Naik has also claimed that this platform is a “halal” version of Netflix.
