Daughter of Beeda Masthan Rao fatally rams a man
The daughter of Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao anmed Madhuri reportedly rammed a man lying on a footpath with her BMW, killing him in the process. The incident took place in Chennai’s Besant Nagar.
Following the incident, the woman claimed that she did not notice the man lying down. Madhuri, who was with her friend, reportedly fled the spot after the crowd became agitated. However, authorities manage to track her down using the phone number that she used to call the ambulance.
The victim was later identified as Surya, a 24-year-old man who worked as a painter. Surya was allegedly drunk and lying on the pavement when Madhuri ran over him. Although the onlookers rushed Surya to the hospital upon the ambulance’s arrival, he eventually succumbed to his injuries. The Chennai Police reportedly arrested Madhuri and later released her on bail on Tuesday.
The police have also filed a case under IPC section 304 (a) for causing death by negligence after the victim’s wife initially lodged a complaint. After further investigation of the CCTV footage, police found that the Puducherry-registered vehicle belonged to Beeda Masthan Rao’s BMR Group.

Beeda Masthan Rao Yadav is a veteran Indian politician and businessman who was born on July 2, 1958. Beeda is a backward class leader belonging to the Yadava community, and he is currently 65 years old. He was a former Member of the Legislative Assembly for Kavali constituency, Andhra Pradesh. He also previously served as a member of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority.
His wife is in the aqua and real estate business like him. The two have a daughter named Madhuri.

Profession and career
Beeda Masthan Rao started out his political journey with the TDP back in 1983 and eventually got elected as MLA from Kavali Assembly seat in 2004 and 2009. After losing to the YSRCP candidate from Kavali in 2014, he contested again in 2019, This time he contested from the Nellore Lok Sabha seat; however, he lost out again to a YSRCP candidate.
Finally, in December of 2019, Rao decided to join the YSRCP after quitting the TDP, citing “personal reasons.” He eventually became a Rajya Sabha MP in 2022, representing the Andhra Pradesh constituency.
Aside from his political career, Beeda Masthan Rao is also the chairman of BMR Group, which is a shrimp farming and export firm. The firm has various plants across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, the conglomerate has a 50,000-square-foot factory in Dhamavaram and other facilities across Kavali, Chennai, Nellore, and Ramatheertham.
