This latest breach comes after a string of prominent YouTube accounts has been hacked. Hackers regularly get access to popular accounts in order to rename them and share videos promoting bitcoin scams.

Linus Sebastian is a well-known Canadian YouTuber. He has been in the news because his YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips was recently hacked by unknown hackers.
His full name is Linus Gabriel Sebastian. He was born on August 20, 1986, in Ladner, British Columbia, Canada. Later, he was raised in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Apart from his parents, he has four siblings: Asher, Emily, George, and Isabelle.
He has been married since 2011 and his wife’s name is Yvonne Ho. He is currently 36 years old and is currently living in Vancouver, Canada with his family with his height at 5 feet 6 inches.
His career
Linus Sebastian formerly held a position as the technology channel host for the now-defunct Canadian online computer retailer NCIX.
Afterward, he established the Linus Tech Tips channel on YouTube which got him recognition. In January 2013, he also established Linus Media Group (LMG). As of April 2022, LMG had more than 80 full-time workers and its headquarters were in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
Sebastian also launched Creator Warehouse, a retail business, and Floatplane, an online streaming service that provides artists with a platform to publish and sell their material. Since 2017, LMG has held an annual event known as the LTX Expo.
