A series of police teams were mobilized to locate the missing youth and a breakthrough came when surveillance on Yash’s mobile phone led them to a suspect named Rachit. Upon interrogation, Rachit confessed to his involvement and revealed the gruesome truth behind Yash’s disappearance. Yash had been lured to a party in Gajraula by Rachit and three others namely Shubham Upadhyay, Sushant, and Sumit Pradhan.
Rachit disclosed that the group, who had befriended Yash in November last year, frequently partied together. On February 26th, they summoned Yash from Bennett University to Gajraula, where they all resided. During the gathering, an argument ensued between Yash and his supposed friends, leading to a confrontation about financial matters.
Yash confronted them about their continuous exploitation of his resources, prompting the group to silence him permanently.

Yash’s friends collectively strangled him to death and disposed of his body in a makeshift grave in the jungles of Gajraula. Their callous act of violence was driven by their desire for monetary gain, as evidenced by the subsequent ransom demands made to Yash’s family and the misleading messages sent from his phone to confuse investigators.
The discovery of Yash’s body buried in a pit by the Gajraula police further solidified Rachit’s confession and the heinous nature of the crime. The grief-stricken family members, present during the retrieval of Yash’s remains were devastated by the betrayal.
As the investigation unfolds, the focus now shifts to apprehending the remaining culprits involved in Yash’s murder. The authorities are determined to ensure that justice is served for Yash Mittal and his grieving family.
