Mohit Grewal’s Education And Family

From the Department of Physical and Sports, Mohit studied at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal University. He was born to Jagbir Grewal, who is an inspector in the Haryana police while her mother is a housewife. Grewal is a professional Indian freestyle wrestler, who competes in the 125 kg category at the Birmingham Commonwealth games.

After a win against the player Alexios Kaoslidis of Cyprus in the Quarterfinals, he was knocked out by Amarveer Dhesi of Canada in Semi-Finals. Mohit Grewal then went on to win a bronze medal in a match against Aaron Johnson of Jamaica. He is also famous for his bikes, Duccati and Royal Enfield.

Mohit Grewal Professional Career

Mohit Grewal is the winner of numerous medals and achievements including the All India Inter University Wrestling Championship and Khelo India. In year 2013, he began practicing wrestling at local akharas.

According to the family members of Mohit Grewal, his grandfather and uncle had represented India in different international events in wrestling. In 2016, Mohit Grewal won a gold medal in the World School Championship in  Turkey.

Mohit Grewal is associated with Virender National Academy based in Haryana. He won a bronze in the 2018 Junior Asian Championships. Due to a knee injury, he did not contest any championships in 2019 and 2020. In a conversation with a media house, Mohit explained his knee injury and the trauma he went through. Recently, Indian grappler, Mohit Grewal has achieved the bronze medal in the Men’s Freestyle 125 kg category in the Commonwealth Games of 2022.
