TikTok moms speak out against Wren Eleanor TikTok account
Over the last few weeks, TikTok moms have been calling out potentially creepy people that follow Wren Eleanor’s TikTok account. Aside from calling out its followers, they have also accused Jacquelyn of exploiting her child on social media. While the conversation started out largely focused on Wren and Jacquelyn, it eventually started to include other TikTok mom creators that post content featuring their very young children.
Following the outcry from TikTok moms, many parents have gone on to delete videos of their kids from their accounts. Notably, while there is no evidence about Jacquelyn exploiting Wren in any way, the main concern is surrounding the type of content that Jacquelyn posts. Back in the past, Jacquelyn posted various videos (now deleted) of Wren playing with a tampon and taking a bath in a bathing suit. Moreover, several posts on a subreddit devoted to Wren have over 13,000 subscribers. There are also searches like “Wren eating corndogs” and “Wren scandalous outfits,” which serve as evidence that the toddler is being sexualized by her followers.
Regulations against posting content of young children
The issue has also caused some form of discussion as to whether platforms like TikTok should allow very young children like Wren on the platform. In reality, TikTok only allows children under the age of 13 to use the app, but many parents go past this restriction by creating parent-managed accounts to feature their children. The incident has raised awareness about the dangers of posting children on social media.
