The fundraiser characterized him as a youngster with an unflappable personality who was always nice, gentle, and quick to laugh. The fundraiser added that he loved his family and friends and always welcomed others with open arms.

Apart from William Kinney, 9-year-old Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9-year-old Hallie Scruggs, 61-year-old Cynthia Peak, 61-year-old Mike Hill, and 60-year-old Katherine Koonce also lost their lives in the Nashville shooting.
