Wesley Brownlee, a 43-year-old suspect, was located, according to Stockton police, thanks to public tips. Around two on Saturday morning, detectives were following Brownlee while he was on the move and observing his behavior.
At a press conference on Saturday, Stockton police chief Stanley McFadden made a statement saying,
Determined early this morning he was on a mission to kill. He was out hunting.
