Lovepreet Singh Professional Career
In year 2017, Lovepreet won bronze at the Asian Youth Championships and gold at the Junior Commonwealth Championships in the 105 kg category. Lovepreet also works for the Indian Navy. His height is 6 feet and his weight is 109 kgs as of 2022. Lovepreet Singh’s abilities and skills took him to the peak from which he raise up and gained a massive name and fame.
Lovepreet Singh pulled off a very remarkable lift of 355kg to win bronze medal in the men’s 109kg category of weightlifting final, taking India’s medal tally in the Commonwealth Games of the year 2022 event. On the final day for weightlifting at CWG 2022, Lovepreet Singh started very well, extending India’s overall medal tally to the 14 at the CWG 2022. He lifted a best of 163 in the snatch to go with 192kg in Clean and Jerk to finish on the podium
Singh won a gold medal at the Junior Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship held in Gold Coast, Australia. Lovepreet lifted a total of 325 kg to finish on top at the Junior Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship.
He will take home his first CWG medal. He started weightlifting in 2010 at just 13 years of age and after struggling a lot in his initial days to get recognition at the National level, it took him 7 years of hard work and determination to be inducted in the Indian National camp. Lovepreet has been an important member of the Indian National Camp in the heavy weight category since the year 2017.
The 24 year old is an officer in the Indian Navy and was born in Amritsar, Punjab.
