Forward Tristan Vukcevic of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade departs from the dominant Serbian team, announced team president Ostoja Mijailovic.

According to Josh Robbins of The Athletic, Vukcevic is expected to sign a multiyear contract with the Wizards. It’s a two-year agreement, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski revealed.

Who is Tristan Vukcevic?

Tristan Tsalikis Vukcevic is a professional basketball player who plays for the Partizan Mozzart Bet of the Serbian KLS and Adriatic League. The 21-year-old was born on Serbia on March 11, 2003 in Siena, Italy. He stands 6′ 11.25” tall and weighs 223.4 pounds.

At 6’11.25″ without shoes and a 7’2.5″ wingspan, Vukcevic has the size to play the five.

The Wizards are signing their 2023 second-round pick Vukčević to a multi-year contract.

A look at Tristan Vukcevic’s career so far

Tristan began playing basketball for the Olympiacos young team, which was his father’s previous team. 2018 saw him join the Spanish club Real Madrid U16, another team his father used to play for.

In the 2023 NBA Draft, Vukcevic was selected by the Wizards with the 42nd pick. In four appearances during the NBA Summer League, he averaged 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, one steal, and one block while playing for the squad.

This season, the 21-year-old made a comeback to the Partizan lineup as a draft-and-stash potential. He played in 30 games with Partizan, averaging 7.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 43.2% shooting from three-point range. He has played for the squad for the last two or more seasons, and he was a key player in its ABA League title win last year.

Vukcevic will be able to play in the NBA for the rest of the season after the Wizards and Partizan reached a seven-figure contract buyout this week.

Tristan Vukcevic was born to Jade and Dusan Vukcevic. His father is a retired Serbian professional basketball player who was born in Bosnia. During his playing career, he represented the national teams of Serbia and Montenegro as well as Crvena Zvezda, Olympiacos, Real Madrid, Montepaschi, Olimpia Milano, and Virtus Bologna.

His mother Jade is a Swedish businesswoman and former swimsuit model who currently resides in Greece.
