After what happened, the rapper was arrested by the police at 7:10 p.m. in Miami. He was taken to the Miami Dade County Jail. Gunplay’s violence explored
On the night of August 20, Gunplay, whose real name is Richard Welton Morales Jr., was at his home in Miami. He was drinking and playing a game called Call of Duty on his Xbox. He was being really noisy. Gunplay’s ex-wife, Vonshae Taylor-Morales got worried because their baby was trying to sleep. She asked him many times to be quiet but it didn’t help.
However, as per Vonshae’s complaint to the police, this is when the Living Legend rapper allegedly lost his temper and attacked his wife and kid, first by throwing things including glasses and alcohol bottles, and later by pulling a firearm on them.
Not only that, but he reportedly tried to grab the baby by her neck and head, as per Vonshae’s account of the incident on her Instagram Story back then. In her post, she also mentioned how she tried to leave the situation with her baby but was threatened not to do so by Gunplay. Fortunately, she was allegedly able to grab his gun and hide it, before rushing to the police station for help.
Vonshae said that Gunplay has a serious problem with drinking and that it’s causing a lot of trouble. She even called the experience very scary and upsetting. She made it clear that she asked the court for protection and was planning to end their marriage.
For those who don’t know, Gunplay and his now-estranged wife got married in August 2022 and had their first baby in February 2023.
