Jael is an accomplished volleyball player and has been recognized for her skills on the court. She was on the Purdue volleyball team throughout her undergraduate term, where she played a total of 23 games during her freshman season in 2018.

Jael’s skills on the volleyball court have been recognized since her early years, as she won the Indiana Volleyball Player of the Year Award in 2018. During her college career, Jael’s contribution to the Purdue volleyball team was notable.

In her freshman year, she achieved a season-high of six blocks in a game against Wisconsin, and in her sophomore year, she made 21 appearances and set a career-high of seven blocks in the NCAA Second Round matchup. Jael’s volleyball career continued to flourish in 2021, as she started in 23 games as a junior and was recognized as the Big Ten Player of the Week.

Aidan O’Connell’s 2022 season

Aidan O’Connell has had an impressive season with the Purdue Boilermakers, putting up 3,490 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. However, he also threw 13 interceptions, which may have been a contributing factor to his decision to skip the Citrus Bowl.

O’Connell led Purdue to the top of the B10 West with an 8-4 record, but the team was unable to secure a victory in the championship game against the Michigan Wolverines.

O’Connell’s decision to skip the Citrus Bowl is understandable, given the physical demands of playing football at the highest level. Players are often subject to injuries, and their health and well-being should always come first. Aidan’s decision is a reminder that athletes are human beings with personal lives and responsibilities outside of their sport.
