However, Byrd’s victory did not become viral over the weekend for that reason. That was the moment Byrd raced to his fiancée and gave her a tight hug after winning the battle.
Byrd and Ellie Holzman have been a popular topic on the internet for a long now, so this isn’t the first time they’ve gone viral for being adorable couples. The former Gatorade Player of the Year only played four games before injuring her ACL in 2021 after missing her freshman season due to injury. Over 13 sets, she recorded 35 kills.
