The 28-year-old from Prague had announced his homos*xuality to everyone through social media in February 2023, when he was on loan from Getafe to Sparta Prague, and in June 2023 he moved to Cagliari.
“Homophobia is a common enemy and it is especially so in the world of sports. Cagliari footballer Jantko has rightly claimed his freedom and kicked homophobia,” commented the deputy group leader of FdI in the Chamber, Alfredo Antoniozzi .
Jakub Jankto who has a daughter with model Marketa Ottomanska, revealed his s*xual orientation in a social media video at the start of 2023 and encouraged his coworkers to follow suit as he became the first active footballer to come out as gay.
In Cagliari, he was warmly received. Additionally, there were no anti homos*xuality chants throughout the stadium. He also performed inconsistently because of injuries, which prevented him from playing as well as he had at Sampdoria, where he was trained by Sir Claudio and excelled to the point where the Roman coach asked Tommaso Giulini to take him on.
He produced two assists and scored a game-winning goal for Empoli last year. Due to injuries, he hasn’t played this year.
If you wanted to know where football has its priorities right now, there is more outrage about a footballers sexuality than there is about others who have committed rape, sexual assault & domestic violence.
They will be more widely accepted than Jakub Jankto – think about that. https://t.co/0Fo9nPnBq6
